Mt Deliverance Worship Center sermon.

Typed notes:

The word of life, 1 John declares the manifestation of Jesus as the living word and life. It is such an intimate letter. John deals with family members and encourages as a father to children.

John addresses the Gnostics, who believe all matter is evil and God being all good, could not have come as Jesus. They said He was a phantom.

John said Jesus is the source of our life as one truth. When they heard Jesus speak, they heard Him repeated.

John understood, perceived, and discerned Jesus. He recognized Jesus is God.

John finally said he handles Jesus with his hands, this proved He was not a spirit or phantom, but a man. Jesus also ate in their presence.

Jesus is the subject of the apostles’ preaching. Christ is the one we have seen with the eyes of our souls.

Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of Jesus.

Building fellowship with Jesus allows us to build with other members of the church. Jesus wanted us to have joyful hearts. We are to take God’s viewpoint and not others.

“These things I have spoken to you so that my joy may be in you.” Jesus spoke in 1 John.
